The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 (2021) truly is a marvel. Anyone who needs a tablet for anything creative would, and should, be desperate to get their hands on one. Unfortunately though, because it runs on Harmony OS 2, you’re very limited in which apps you can download from the Huawei AppGallery. So for a lot of people, it just won’t be right.

Pros

  • Colorful 16:10 aspect ratio screen
  • Wireless charging is welcome
  • Great audio performance
  • Good multi-tasking/Desktop software

A great-looking tablet with lots of power, a great feature set, slinky bezels and versatile software. However, there's no Google Play Services - it's Huawei's App Gallery instead - which may mean you can't get access to all the apps you want in the conventional way. Whether you see that as a problem in a tablet that can function like a little PC when you add the keyboard is up for debate.Read full verdict
