What experts are saying

And they have a surprisingly great app

Pros
  • Good ANC for a competitive price
  • Many ear tip sizes for finding the best fit
  • Easy-to-use, helpful app
Cons
  • Treble-heavy sound
  • Large case
  • Passthrough sound feature isn’t as good as Apple’s

The true wireless Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro earphones aren't perfect, but they deliver a sculpted, bass-forward sound signature and some of the best noise cancellation we’ve heard below $150.

Pros
  • Bass-forward and bright audio performance
  • Solid noise cancellation for the price
  • App has adjustable EQ and multiple ANC modes
  • Numerous eartip options
  • Water-resistant design
Cons
  • In-ear fit can vary, affecting audio and noise cancellation
  • Noise cancellation changes sound signature slightly
  • Not for audiophiles

The Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro are a fine choice if you want a pair of active noise-cancelling earbuds on a tight budget. There are better-looking and more comfortable buds, but for $130, Anker's ANC and personalized sound output exceed expectations.

Pros
  • Noise-cancelling and Transparency modes
  • Decent battery by ANC standards
  • Affordable
  • Sound personalization works well
Cons
  • Ugly design
  • Can get uncomfortable after a few hours

Looking for AirPods Pro features without spending $250? These ANC earbuds come very close and cost a lot less. Here's what you should know before buying.

Pros
  • Very comfortable
  • Very good sound quality
  • Effective ANC
  • Customizable sound and controls
Cons
  • Some functions still need phone access
  • So-so call quality

At $130, these new Anker buds may just be the best new substitute for those who can't afford the AirPods Pro -- or Android users.

Pros
  • Lightweight, comfortable
  • Very good sound quality
  • Active noise canceling
  • Good headset performance for calls
  • IPX4 water-resistance
  • Ambient and transparency modes
  • Decent battery life with USB-C and wireless charging
Cons
  • If you don't get a tight seal, noise canceling and sound suffer (included ear tips may not work for some ears)
  • Transparency mode isn't as good as that of AirPods Pro

The Anker Liberty Air 2 Pro are decent for mixed use. They're decently comfortable, have a stable fit, and offer a great ANC feature that can help cut down bus or plane engine rumbles as well as ambient chatter around you. While not everyone may enjoy their bass-heavy sound profile, they have a customizable sound profile thanks to the graphic EQ and presets in their companion app. However, their battery performance is disappointing and may not last through your workday or commute.

Pros
  • Great, adjustable active noise cancelling feature.
  • Graphic EQ and presets.
  • Well-built and portable design.
Cons
  • Poor recording quality.
  • Disappointing battery performance.
  • No NFC or multi-device pairing.
